+1 here. But if acoustic is your deal, play the Epiphone acoustics and spend a lot of time on youtube.
One thing that has really helped me is actually playing with other musicians. It gives you goals, that don't seem to happen when your sitting in a room alone.
I'd recommend a Squire tele.
