Here is a mock-up of the Gulf Wyer 908/3 livery. The arrows originally started at rear naca ducts and moved forward. Starting at the tail lights seemed like a good option.
On another note: I believe these arrows and suits of cards were taken from Richthofen's Flying Circus squadron. I would be interested if anyone has any further knowledge on the roots of this cool livery.
