944S2 is the best of the bunch.
You'll fit fine. They came with the 3.0 16 valve engine, 210 hp or so, and usually all the available options.
The regular 2.5 "S" is somewhat anemic feeling in my opinion at anything under 4000rpm. It actually is a little faster than the standard 2.5 8v even at those revs but it just doesn't "feel" quick until higher up. If you want a sports car toy the S will work great though, but not so much as a traffic driver.
