This wearing shoes in your own or other peoples's houses got me thinking. For instance a relative or friend comes to your house and they bring a dog(not expected) do you let the dog in as well or say no to the dog?

For us the dog is a definite no as strange dogs in our house have marked their new territory by peeing and pooing.
