I think I was buying oil for an oil change at the auto parts store.
When I left the store I hit something in the road (apparently the disk brake pad)
Presumably somehow the disk brake pad flipped on it's side and ripped it's way through the tread.
Amazingly somehow that did not cause a catastrophic failure to the tire just a massive leak but I was able to limp to the tire store.
