Well finally making a bit of headway, hopefully it will be ready for Rennsport in September. Started with a nice low mile,47K running and driving, (kind of) 84 M491 chassis, minus interior and brakes. Suspension was already done and setup by Steve Alarcon when I got it. Also trans was redone with GT LSD, close 3rd, 4th and 5th, wevo internals and wevo shifter. Did the thru hood fuel fill a while back, but then got caught up in my SC backdate and this one was sidelined.
So got the bumpers on but they are going to need a lot of work! Dropped the car at a friends shop this morning to do some metal work, sunroof delete, weld up fuel door on fender, mirror holes on doors, holes in rockers, antenna, windshield washers. I have an old steel longhood but he said the original hood would work better cause it is real nice. So he is going to make an extension onto the stock hood. That way I can keep the short hood latch and all the steel panels that came with the car. At least no fitment issues with those parts.
