That’s 912 Million. Now you can make as many dumb joke about immigrants both legal and illegal not speaking English, but you can add 5 million Native English speakers in South Africa as well.

The key is 'native', which I suspect means 'first language'. The lower part '1.8b total speakers' might be right.
