If I really want the best deal I can get, I will always wait for the other person to talk about price. I won't bring it up at all.
Because once in a while, whatever price I had in my head, was way above what they eventually mention. Done deal when that happens.
What does amaze me, is when a already below market price, people attempt to haggle anyway.
