I have to agree with srupp. It looks awful and won't be an effective area to cool with hot air just swirling around in the backside of the trunk. If you're going to do this, reconsider a different route. The below here has been done several times for cooling and improved handling. This scoop effect in the front hood provides more downforce for better handling. Although if it were my car, I would use an aftermarket hood instead of cutting up the original one.
