I had a safety meeting with my kids on the way to see a movie yesterday.(Hey, they can't ignore me if locked in a moving car.)
We talked about stranger danger and what to do if they find themselves put into a situation.
As we entered the theater where our movie was playing I pointed out the EXIT signs and gave them instructions on what to do if anything happens inside the theater.
for some reason, felt compelled to discuss the recent shootings at that time. Pretty sad that you have to talk to your kids about what to do if they encounter an active shooter while watching a Disney movie.
