Here are some pictures to illustrate what I'm talking about.

In the first picture, the port to which I refer is on the lefthand side of the manifold. The port on the NEW manifold is too big in diameter to fit the stock pipe (picture #2). As a temporary solution, we plugged the port with an 18mm drain plug (picture #3), which I've since learned a lot of Volvo owners do exactly the same with zero running problems or dash lights.
