I think cohesion and thoroughness are key to a well executed hotrod.
For example:
-Don't put 996 sport seats in a 911R replica.
-Slapping a set of Webers and headers on an otherwise stock SC doesn't make it a hot rod.
-For god's sake, don't put turbo twists on any 911 built before '89.
