we visited sf in tgiving and used the bart to get into the city then took the buses and cable cars and street cars, easy to get around.. not sure if bart goes to where you are but its easy and fast. previous visits we stayed outside downtown and parked by the embarcadero close to the ferry that takes you to alcatraz. it was easy and not too expensive to park, then walk or take the street car to where you needed to go.
