Maybe its the Chinese product, but I really don't think so? If there are dimmers involve, then I would suspect its the switch. Don't try this at home kids, but jump the switch with a wire to rule out the bad switch. Just be careful. You may not look too good with curly hair.
Yeah to your question above. I suspect you missed a wire during the switch change-out.
