I agree... But the SC's and the early 3.2's had few if any optional radio's. As stated, Reno's were basically a standard option for many years but they did have different features, including face plates. For a first time buyer to purchase a 3.2, they really, as you said, would not have a clue if it was the stock radio. They all do though have either the date stamped on them and or one can also find out what year the radio is through its serial number.

They really were a poor example of a radio. Detroit actually had better radio's in the '50's. Letting the Japanese built them was a good move on the checker board for Porsche.

Bee Gee's?-Ahhh no...AC-DC 'is' thee Aussies Band. Then there are the likes of The Eagles, CCR, and numerous others that I would shop on eBay for but the Gibbs Brothers?...To me they were good but not great- Right
