I have an '88 coupe, and did my best to resist trying to make her "better". Where I did allow myself to bend that rule was with electronic technology figuring that if there was one thing that advanced leaps and bounds in the past 27 years was stuff related to computers. I therefore changed out the chip with Steve Wong's, and my Toronto cassette deck with the new Porsche GPS/Blue Tooth/I-Pod or Pad/... Stereo with Focal Speakers. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! A bit pricy, but for me at least - worth every penny. I have forgotten how to use a map over the years, so I'm no longer getting lost like I did in the past. Plus, getting/making phone calls is no longer illegal. I of course kept the original Blaupunkt and speakers in a box for safe storage in the event I ever need to sell the car, but for day to day drive enjoyment - you can't beat it!
