Sorry to hear that, every time they fly they are at risk, just like they would be in the wild.
It's been awhile,when you say micros are you referring to Merlins and Kestrels?
The idea always appealed to me, but watching a kestrel hunt dragonflys... now one that would fly on small birds would be a hoot.
