And yes the key word is committed -- if a buyer has missed a payment deadline then all bets are off but barring that - a deal is a deal
I had a seller shake and look me in the eye on a fair motorbike price. The bike needed a safety and while at the mechanic he called and said he thought he could get more - I implored him for his own ability to sleep at night to not trade his word for the few hundred he might get. He backed out of our deal. Maybe he sleeps great at night but I never could if I did that.

As someone who has been selling on this forum, including some very rare vintage parts, for a very long time, and more than once, I have had people send me PMs trying to get me to break a deal, and have had some offered a LOT more
$$$ and, I have always done the right thing. And I'm talking, in some cased, over a Grand (7R rim).
As already stated, in the morning, when you look in the mirror, that you like & respect who is looking back at you.
Sadly, some here don't have the integrity, flat out lie, then accuse other person of not doing what he committed too (that is why you save the PMs to prove they are lying).
