If you say "I'll take it" and the seller doesn't respond, perhaps it is already sold or he doesn't really want to sell it. I don't think a deal is sealed until $$ is exchanged and when selling I will usually hold an item and allow 2-3 days for that to happen. I ask the buyer to give me their Paypal address and I send an invoice normally within 24 hrs.
When buying I want to pay right away so we have a contract. If a seller doesn't give me payment info I will remind them once or twice and then move on. Sometimes shipping gets slow from people who don't sell often and I am patient as long as I know it is coming in a week or two. I never get in a mad rush for overnight express.
