Excellent question! Ha I don't know. You seem to have a great point. I think it would make sense to leave them in. I just thought while I was in there I might as well replace them. Is it a good idea to replace them? The crank looks fine as well but I was told I should have it sent out and polished as well as checked to make sure it was straight. I would assume that if I have it polished it would mess with how it sat in the bearings.
This is my first time doing this so its all really new to me and I've been hearing a lot of while you're in there things to do. I'm trying to do all that I can that seems reasonable to do. Some say I should replace the oil pump some say don't? Or rebuild the pump. I also don't know if I should re ring and hone my Pistons and jugs. They look mint and still have the stock hone marks! And the rings measure to be right in spec.
I feel like if I owned a shop id tell the customer it was all needed but is it all? I don't own a shop and this is my car. That being said its my baby and it's all I've been thinking about. Tough world we live in[emoji38]
