My doc told me that acid reflux can trigger an afib. I believe this happened to me when I was carrying too much weight and being slightly insensible at meal time. I had experienced this more intensely after certain foods and laying down.
Several years ago it was so bad I couldn't sleep at night. But I never felt heartburn at the time.
