It is not really that bad when you see what the system pays for.
A few years ago I was diagnosed with CFS and was only working 50% of normal hours. My employer paid half, and the government paid the rest.
In 2011, I had a skiing jumping accident. One of my skies fell of at the ramp whilst doing 50-ish mph and at one point flying around 10 feet off the ground. Landed head first and was knocking out. Had a "black eye" over My whole face. Ambulance came to take me to hospital for some intensive care and stayed there a few days. No Bill!
Now my daughter is 2 and goes to kindergarten. Total cost per month less than 500$, schools are free the first 12-13 years.
It is a great system!
