I would start with the above hood bug catcher, as stated before, the motor would probably run better with a single 4 bbl carb and a sensible air intake. I would also trade the weld wheels for a nice Shelby knockoff or a Bullet style wheels with some good performance tires. Either paint it all black, or all burgundy, but not both. For the interior, I would refinish those seats to match the rest of the interior, and lose the fire extinguisher, and under dash gauge monstrosity.
This car would take some time and money to make it right, but you could recoop some funds from selling the go-fast goodies to a local kid.
