Well it does get hot in Riverside!

Wolfpri showed up a little after I did and we had a great time telling Brando all of our 944 stories while taking this and that off the car.

I'm heading back Sunday will start cutting the bent up structure from the front to get to the engine. Doesn't look like more than 20 maybe 30 minutes do open it up. Then the fun begains!

The whole drive train is pushed back about 3". Sheared the new engine mounts in half at the rubber. One of the fan motors was pushed through the belt cover but only took out the counter balance belt. The timing belt is still intact. So it's a good engine. Might be later than an 83 as it has the later aluminum vent elbow with the bleeder bolt.

This is a dark brown over tan interior to all who need those tidbits.

Should have the engine almost ready to pull by tomorrow afternoon -- if the heat doesn't get me (us?) first.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?
