I've a bet with a friend that 991 gt3 will be under 100k next year. I like my steak med rare.
I don't expect the 991 to follow the 997 and 996 depreciation curves. The newest "digital" experience will always be faster. In fact I'm still surprised to date a car I got over 2 years ago for what could be described as "cheap" could sell for quite a bit more than I paid. That just doesn't happen with newer cars. And in my head it's worth no more than I paid and I drive the car as intended 20-30 track days a year and a maintenance bill to show for it. I guess the 996-997 gt cars are the last of the "analog" water cooled cars. Maybe if the next gt are turbo or hybrid we seem something similar.
These cars are very, very reliable for how hard they are driven but maintaining them PROPERLY is not for the faint of heart. Never add up the receipts. With a gt3 you don't look at track use as an only indicator. You buy the seller and then have a race shop inspect the car. They have to know what to look for. Trust me, my car is cleaner than most street only cars, and better maintained. Example, Shop had a car in last week, no track use (supposedly), all kinds of over revs, engine not strong, not high miles either, underbody thrashed, etc.
Anyway, a gt4 low options at 90 is a sweet deal. That's how mine would price. Stripper. Any gt3 under 100 is a car you won't regret. They are all such great drives. A pdks will be in my garage but I'm kinda cheap 100k for a stripped gt3 or 130 for the rs :-) I'm patient and can wait.
Btw, The really fun part is driving my 89 for 2 weeks getting in my rs and going "holy crap is this thing fast" scared the crap out of myself in it last week lol
