I have jacked my Carrera up many times by using the oil pan.
Maybe I am lucky, I don't know.
The oil pan is robust and if you have a normal (3 or 4 inch) round plate on your jack...
You will be ok.
Check out Renntech.org. Many, many DIY guys just jack it up from the pan.
I have lifted the whole 911 and removed the wheels using the oil pan as a jack point.
