Not all tattoos are spur of the moment or done without thought for the future. I have one on my right inner forearm that was done by an tribe artist in Malaysia. I went through the British Army tracking school there and everyone who completed the course was adopted into the tribe that lived on this island where the school was located. The tattoo is part of the acceptance into the tribe. Every time I look at it I am reminded about that part of my past. By the way tattoos on your inner forearm are quite painful.
