That's it right there!
There are three kinds of car shows on TV...ones that are primarily focused on the cars themselves, like
Chasing Classic Cars, Wheeler Dealers, Dream Car Garage, etc. Ones that are primarily half-hour commercials for bolt-on parts, like
All Girls Garage and
Truck U. And then there are the ones that're all about the dipschits working in the shop, with the cars being relegated to the background, like
Gas Monkey Garage, Counting Cars, Desert Car Kings, Restoration Garage, Graveyard Carz, and all the rest. Like almost every other 'reality' show on TV, these are all based on conflict & strife, and sadly, this is what most people want to see.
