We just got our jet back from the service center last week. We had a lav cart "nic" the lower half of the leading edge of the right wing about 6' from the end. The super small ding was just over 3/4" long and measured .046" deep. The out of spec limit is .040". This made the plane 'unsafe for flight' and we had to get a special ferry permit to bring it to the service center. It cost $133K and 10 days down time to get it repaired. All for .006 out of spec. Crazy!
