Good Humpday folks.
The new wheels and tires are on. They do completely fill the fenders.
Some rear rubber.
From a 225 to a 255. Lots more rear rubber. I know my rear tires wore out twice as fast at the fronts for some mysterious reason. I figure extraterrestrials sneak in the garage at night and harvest rear rubber from 911s.
I can't think of any other logical reason.
Those tires and wheels are HEAVY. I will have to weigh them when I take them back off. It must make a massive difference at high speeds in a heavy braking situation. That much extra mass spinning is a LOT more to slow down. Last year going over the hill at Laguna Secca at triple digit speeds I could really tell the brakes were working hard with my tiny lightweight 15s.
I will not be keeping thees wheels. Just not the style I want. I could buy them for $500 but I will use that to go towards a set of wheels I want.
