I'm posting this as a new thread, since I have a problem, but the title of the thread I replied to was "915 problem fixed!"
Symptoms: rebuilt 915 with zero miles on it. No lube in it yet.
Bolted everything back up, I seem to have gears 1 thru 4, but I can't move the shifter into the 5/r plane.
Was reading...maybe its stuck in reverse. Fix by pushing on the pin under the reverse switch on the trans.
Ok. I took my reverse switch off and there's no pin in there.
Is there supposed to be a pin?
Where can I get one?
I put the shank of a 5/8 drill bit in there and tried to lever it while rocking the wheels...no joy for me. But I was not being aggressive with it.
Any thoughts or ideas?
