New job sounds great! That previos owner sounded like he liked pushing people's buttons.
Rick, if I had known you wanted a main coon you could have had mine. The nurse that took him says he gets along great with her and her other cats and he poops in the litter box again.
On a side note: I have a litter box (the kind that looks like an igloo) and a Litter Quitter I am not using any more if anyone is interested. The Liiter Quitter is a set of trays that go on the toilet to train the cat to use the toilet instead of the litter box. It was working until Mom put the toilet lid down and set it on top instead of on the seat. Heard a crashing noise and the cat shot out of the bathroom. The toilet seat lid was down, the litter quitter and litter were scattered all over the floor. After that the cat used the litter box to pee, but pooped on the carpet. I assume he tried to jump up there to poop and it slid off the toilet. He was not quite a year old and already bigger than most cats.
Oh and joy of joys, even though Pepper is only 9 months old, she is in heat. For the next couple of weeks she gets to only go outside in the fenced back yard, and on leash. The good thing is she is keeping herself and the house really clean and not messing up the place. Haven't decided yet if I want to go thru breading her. She has all the right credentials and looks, and little puppies are just so cute. Besides 8 or 10 puppies at $700 to $900 each is a big chunk of change.
