New to cars, and to Porsche
Hi, my name is Tyler.
I recently saved up enough money to purchase myself a 1987 944.
I'm 18 years old and just finished up high school. I don't see an introduction area on this forum so i'll put it here.
I was able to work from when I was 16 to be able to afford my first car. I did quite a bit of research on a lot of different cars, a lot of my friends have last 90s and early 2000 hondas and I figured I'd do something a little different.
After much consideration I decided to go with my gut and look for 944s in my area. I was lucky enough to see 2 of the NA versions in my budget fairly close by, I went to view a guards red one with a promising exterior only to find it was definitely not mechanically sound.. The second one had some pretty faded paint but ran promisingly, I feel like I made a good choice and chose the second one.
I'm very happy to drive a car I can be proud of. I'm excited to work on the car in the near future.. I'm sure I'll speak to some of you very soon regarding that, lol.
