6 guys have stopped me.

Hello all, I have a 1988 911 Black Cab Convertible, whaile tail and live here in New Jersey. Over the past few months I have had a number of guys, 1) while driving at 60 mph, 2) at the cleaners picking up my laundry ,3) track me for miles before I stopped 4) in traffic make me an offer 5)and leave a business card on the windshield.

Last night a mother guy pulled up as I was leaving work and asked me again if I wanted to sell. I got talking with him and asked him what gives and why so many people approaching me? Basically he said that these cars are rare and hard to find. you seldom see one. I found that strange. Its a basic 3.2 cab. that I have had for 4 years and put a lot of work into it

The guy said as I was telling him that I was looking for a turbo something in the 2000 years that I was surprised about all the online competition for even repairable Porches and their prices . Also, in the NY, NJ area these cars are hard to find. He said he buys and ships them usually to California. He asked me what I would want for the car. Dealing with so many guys coming after me I was offered the highest $35k and at the lowest $25k for the car which has 140k miles on it.

Just wondering, not that I am selling it, if this is a good offer and what gives out there?
Is this strickly a business transaction? How much could you really make on the car after shipping it to wherever and there is always something fixed by the new buyer.

Is it worth it for a few grand to these guys to move the car? And while I am at it why are allegedly rebuildable Porches online that are crap worth so much?
