Iq
Tell me friends, if my hypothesis is stoopid: It's best not to know.
Take me, for example. If my IQ turned out to be lower than I think it is, of course I'm bummed.
But if it turns out to be higher than I think it is, I'm bummed even worser.
Knowing is a no win as far as I'm concerned.
For me, ignorance of the matter is truly bliss.
Hence the conundrum, if you get my drift.
By not knowing my IQ, I can simultaneously consider myself an inspirational overachiever and a dismal failure. That seems a good strategery for getting through the day.
The downside is I'll never really know which I am. Which is also the upside.
Yup. Best not to know.
Agree?
