I also just picked up the predecessor
model of the Cherokee that is 60%/40% IR/hot air vs 100% IR in the newer model. These are no longer produced and are desirable as they do provide some flame char vs 100% IR sear.
Electric version of the same grill also picked up recently on Craigslist. These portable IR grills are really amazing. TEC Build quality is great. These babies weigh in at 55lbs and solid stainless construction means they'll last for years (these were discontinued in 2006 and they still look new). Replacement parts are still available through TEC. The newer model (alum vs stainless) is lighter at 28 lbs.
