Heh, I have a polished aluminum casting like the icon in your avatar.

Were I more paranoid, I would go with a 2 level motion dector....one outside and another inside. A 2 stage siren also......with the inner stage loud as hell.
Video is good for an after-the-fact but the 24/7 monitor is a bit much.
