Yeaaaa.... OK.... well... Len, the OP, is asking about theses Cree Bulbs in his H4s.

Guess we have to always leave a little room for the Theorists vs the true hands on personal experience. You know, just like the Honda motor in McLaren right now. Pure theory build.

I have those bulbs, in my 911, with the H4 setups. Not H1s, not HIDs I dialed them in with the Stern info on his site. The output is beautiful, You can easily aim them not to blind people from being both behind them and coming at them against traffic. I did both with the help of my wife in her Lexus. Scatter with these are hardly existent and irrelevant unless you have some major OCD. Which isn't a fault. My entire car was built on my OCD issues. Buy these lights. You will like them.

here are the pics of the install. You have 2 main "new components" one is the big round thing on the back of the bulb. That's a fan. Then you have the silver square thing- that's the ballast. This pic is from my fender that is not currently attached to the car but that doesn't matter.

in terms of connections- the 3 prong is the 3 prong as usual. Then you have a round weather seal going to the ballast and 2 wire connector also going to the ballast. That's the power for the fan. I used 2 sided tape to hold the ballast in place on 2 of them and a single small sheet metal screw on the other 2 (again 2 cars worth) none of those methods came loose. It's as simple as it comes to install and you don't need the bigger relays like with the hotter H4 bulbs.

It really is a good light system for not a lot of money. I've had them on both cars for a year now. Had a problem once with a ballast going faulty on me. Contacted the Super Bright people and they sent me a replacement no charge, not even shipping. I shipped my faulty one back for $3.

Good luck. you will like these.
