I got into CB back in 1971. My call sign was YHB 7864 I have no idea why my memory keeps that yet forgets lots of useful information. I had it in my 1960 VW bug and moved it to my 73 VW and then my 74 914 2.0. I still have that 23 channel CB up in the attic simply because it is easier than throwing it away.
We had a fun autocross today. The weather was great, virtually perfect. A guy with a 2015 911 GT3 showed up and took FTD. That sucker sounds great and is a very fast car. As if you did not know. I actually had an air cooled 911 as competition. Most of the time we have cars that are 2000 and newer. I usually have the oldest car there. I beat my competition by 3 seconds. I was 14 seconds slower than the GT3. My best time was 99.4. We used a lot of the track, almost all of it. I really don't care about my time. I use it only to see how I do run to run. It is always interesting to see the real time when I thing a run was was faster that the other ones. I would have sworn my 7th run was way faster. I was a second slower.
