Good Monday morning folks.

Just as I pulled in the parking lot at work my phone rang. It was my brother. He lives in Montgomery, Alabama. He never calls during work hours unless something unusual has happened.

He said yesterday he mowed the yard and of course was hot he went in the bathroom and was about to take a shower and the next thing he knew his wife was standing over him with bloody hands and yelling at him. The back of his head was really hurting and his neck was really sore. Apparently he had passed out and whacked his head on the side of the bathtub and his neck was bent forward so his chin was pressing against his chest. Fortunately his wife was home and she worked as a nurse for over 40 years. She was trying to stop the bleeding and call 911. He ended up with a 4 inch cut at the base of his skull.

They said they did a MRI and EKGs and lots of expensive tests and ruled out a stroke or heart attack. His blood sugar was normal so all they can figure was a heat issue. The good news is he has a hard head so no damage except a wound that will heal up. He does not even get to have a cool scar to show off since in will be covered with hair on the back of his head.
