Agreed, but my nearly new 686+ is fantastic. Arguing over forged hammers and the lock is fodder for the gun geeks. Mine is a tack driver and has been flawless. I was not able to find a single first hand account of the lock inadvertently locking the gun. Plus it holds 7 rounds, which is nice.
