Something is wrong with your hydraulic system.
Look for a puddle of brake fluid under your bell housing.
Look for a "mysterious" disappearance of brake fluid from your reservoir.
Replace both slave and master cylinders at the same time.
Google "944 clutch slave cylinder bleeding", it can be a real pain to get all of the air out of the system.
