These old Toyota Pickup 4x4's are awesome, especially the ones with the 22R/22R-E 4-cylinder, but it just sucks how they're gradually becoming rarer. However, despite their rarity, some places have a higher number of Pickups than others; they're very rare here in the DFW area of Texas, but when I was vacationing with the family in Gulf Breeze, Florida back in June and July, there was at least one Pickup on almost every corner.

My neighbor has an '82 Pickup 4x4 that he's been working on, and it's pretty well-modded. We've also had a few Pickups in the family over the years; my dad had an '86 Regular Cab 4x4, and later a '92 Xtra Cab 4x4 V6. I remember taking my dad's '86 over the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge many years ago, and it was so underpowered that I only managed to do 35 mph while ascending the bridge

Our latest addition is an '86 Xtra Cab 4x4 I bought for my son a few months ago to use as his daily driver. It's got the 22R and currently has over 300,000 miles on the clock, and he loves it I bought it gray, but the paint wasn't in good shape so I got it repainted in black. Now we're working on making it a replica of Marty McFly's Pickup
