Did you do a compression check,dry & wet?
What numbers (psi)? How about manifold vacuum gauge readings? What did the needle do; i.e., how'd it move/behave? You think it
is bad ring? maybe hole in piston? (Oil out the fill tube could be blowby) Any chips in the oil pan or drained oil? Do you have a magnetic oil plug? Valve & Ignition timing in spec? Hang in there.
