Motto mountain is the closest but they are closed until after thanksgiving. I think they are filming a movie up there or something. Dirham town is the biggest but it is a good 2 hours away and the place in cedartown area is nice and a little closer. I've also been to a few forest service trails and they are nice but not a fan of two way trails. I usually go during the week so I've never had a problem anyways as less crowded then. Around here you'll want to get a woods bike like a CRFX or WR or EX, etc. All,of those bikes are basically the same bike as the pure Motorcross bikes, but they have a wider ratio gear box for woods riding. I just saw a nice TTR250 on CL a few days ago. The TTR 225/230 and the CRF 230 are basically farm bikes and too low line for your needs. The KTM 250/ 300 EX would also be a really nice choice.
