I needed to move a parts car I gave to friend. I had one standard tire on an ugly, bent phone dial, and grabbed three inflatable spares from other parts cars, and all three inflated and held air as if new.
Unless the spare has been sitting outside in the Arizona sun, I wouldn't worry about using a spare.
