LOL, I have never used my spare - it is probably so rotted it probably wouldn't hold air! I have used the air pump once - to inflate an air mattress.
I went on a short trip to Indy this summer. Before I left, I went thru the car thoroughly. I do have fuses, a small tool kit and carried anti-freeze. The best tool you can bring is your cell phone.
