Completely irrelevant in this case. The motorcyclist broke a traffic law, the guy in the car tried to murder them. Attempted murder trumps traffic violation by quite a bit. I can't believe the restraint of the rider who approached the guy. They would have had to pry me off of him with 3 crow bars. I'd be in prison.
