Sorry to hear that.

I do not agree with drug testing employees except in very rare circumstance (airline pilots, maybe). If a mechanic is stoned while on the job, his work will quickly show it and he'll be dealt with in the normal course. If he gets high on his own time, it is probably not going to affect his work - and if it does, it won't be any different than the guy who drank a bit too much last night, or had to get up with the new baby, or is simply pulling too much overtime and is tired. Random drug testing is wrong.

I wouldn't take a job that required drug testing. Of course when times are tough you do what you have to, but when the economy gets better employers will no longer feel like they are in the driver's seat.
