They are manufacturing a compound.
Combining with a separate product.
It's the compound that is not FDA approved, the 2 ingredients separately are and their compounding facility is approved.
Compounding is very common.
When you pick up antibiotics for your kid and the pharmacist makes up the liquid suspension on the spot that is compounding.
It really just means it does not come in a finished tablet form.
At least that's my understanding.
